1] Exam Name: MPSC Clerk-Typist Examination
Note: there will be modification in the prelim and Mains syllabus as well as in mains exam too. we knows that from 2018 there will be combined examination for MPSC ESI, MPSC Tax Assistant and Clerk Typist in which the prelim will be same for all three exams and the paper 1 of Mains of all three exams will be same for all three examinations and so there will be change from 2018, the change will be minor and currently we only have news that there will be combined examination syllabus. 2] INTRODUCTION OF EXAM:
Hello everyone! In this article we will discuss all relevant things of MPSC clerk typist exam. Earlier this was a one stage examination but from 2017 there will be 2 stages in MPSC clerk typist examination. and latest news is that there will be combined examination of three class three exams (ESI-TA-CT) We know that this is a Group C examination and the selected candidate from this examination would be posted in Mumbai area only because it’s Mumbai Centric job.
3] Medium of Exam: English and Marathi.
We know that almost all MPSC competitive exams are objective types of exams. The medium of clerk typist exam is Marathi and English and there will be no Marathi translation for English language questions and no English translation for Marathi Language questions.
4] LIST OF POSTS AND DETAILS:
Introduction: You will be posted in a Mantralaya under various departments as well as in other governmental offices within Mumbai region. The examination name itself describes the job profile this of this post. There are mainly two posts the job is same. There will be one Marathi Typist and another will be English Typist.
Class: Class 3 (Non gazetted)
Salary: 5,200-20,200 +Grade Pay 1,900+Dearness allowance and other allowances.
Job Location (Location of Appointment): Mumbai Region.
Promotion: Assistant Section Officer
5] Eligibility for Exam:
Citizenship of India
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum (upper age) 38 years
Upper age limit will be relaxed:
In case of Backward Class candidates- up to 5 years. (43 Years)
In the case of a proficient players, till 43 years of age
In the case of Ex-serviceman, according to rule (Open category 43 Years, backward category 48 years old)
In the case of disabled candidates, up to 45 years of age
Educational:
SSC (10th) or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of Marathi language required.
Physical: No Physical Requirements are required.
Numbers of Attempts: Unlimited Attempts within age limit for MPSC Exams.
Others: Typing Certificate of Marathi and English Typing.
- Basic Course in Computer Typing Marathi 30 Words/Minute.(for Post of Marathi Typist)
Or/And
- Basic Course in Computer Typing English 40 Words/Minute.(for post of English Typist)
Note: if you are ex-serviceman and you don’t have typing certificate then you have to submit your typing certificate after joining the post. They will give you time of 11 month to submit your typing certificate.
You must have these certificates before the last date of mains application. I think typing exam time is June and December means you can appear two times in one year for typing exam. Before that you must be prepared to take the exam. You will get certificate of your typing score with pass and failed. I don’t have particular knowledge of typing exams. 6] Phases of Exam:
MPSC Clerk Typist exam will be conducted into 2 phases
- Prelim exam (100 marks)(combined Preliminary exam ESI-TA-CT)
- Mains exam (400 marks)(combined Paper 1 of Mains exam ESI-TA-CT)
Note: currently the mains exam has one paper only but from the year (2018) there will be 2 papers.
Note: The aim of the Preliminary Examination is to Shortlist the number of candidates for main examination. Therefore in all 16 times candidates of total number of posts will be allowed to the main examination as per the merit list of the preliminary examination. As preliminary examination is being screening test, its marks will not be taken into consideration for final selection and will not be communicated to the candidates.
7] How to Apply:
Notification: There will be combined notification of prelim of all three exams (ESI-TA-CT) and mains notification will be separate for each and every exam. After notification you will be able to apply for this exam.
If you have already created account in MPSC Online Website then you can directly apply for exam. If you don’t have account in mpsc online website then you have to create the new account and register yourself in mpsc online website.

Create Account: First you will create new account in mahampsc website.
Fill the Information: there are several steps where you will fill required information in mahampsc website.
Upload photo and Signature: last step will be uploading photo and signature with required dimensions.
Apply For Exam: so after creating new account… account creation will take maximum 1 hour. From mahampsc website itself you can apply for this exam.

After applying for exam you have to pay the fees of clerk typist exam and that fee you can pay in online mode or offline mode.

Select exam center:
So, after fee payment you have to select the exam center to appear for this exam. You will have list of centers for exam and you will select one of them and after selecting you can change the center.
Prelim Centers: All district cities of Maharashtra are centers for prelim.
Mains Centers: Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur
Interview Centers: No Interview from 1 January 2016 for all non gazetted posts (Class 3 class 2)
Download hall ticket:
Before 7 days of exam or 15 days of exam you can download your hall ticket and in that hall ticket you will get to know that your actual center of exam in the district city you have selected as center.

So we know that there will be combine preliminary examination and paper 1 of mains would be combined. So your preparation will be same as other exams like tax assistant and ESI Exam.
